THE “WHOLE GRAIN” DIFFERENCE – Wheat germ is typically removed from the seed during the process of making flour, because its high fat content can cause the finished product to spoil more easily. However, this reduces the nutrient content of the flour—part of why “whole grain” flours are more nutritious. Professor Q's defatted wheat germ is minimally processed to remove these oils, giving our product a longer shelf-life and eliminating the need for refrigeration.
